ABOUT:

The Strategic eBill Information Network (SeBIN) is a WEDI Regional SNIP organization for the states of California and Texas and is a consortium of healthcare providers, payers, and vendors interested in benefiting from a collaborative effort aimed at reducing friction in healthcare transactions, reducing cost of those transactions, and improving overall patient care.

  • Meetings

Meetings are already in place in our established workgroups (Education/Outreach, Technology/Implementation).  This website will be further developed to include comprehensive information regarding events, regulations, mandates, and best practices of immediate concern and interest surrounding workers' compensation.  Need to submit an issue to the workgroups?  Click here for the Issue Submission Form and instructions on how to submit new issues.

  • Members

As a member, you would be included in meetings held by key stakeholders, no less than quarterly.  If you are interested in becoming a member of this Regional SNIP Affiliate, please email Kat Batongbakal at kbatongbakal@ghnonline.com.  Be sure to include your contact information, including email and primary phone.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

The California & Texas Strategic eBill Information Network will be immediately concerned with recent changes to State regulations surrounding the submission of Worker's Compensation claims and attachments.  The original members of this organization include key stakeholders in the Worker's Compensation market that are highly interested in seeing providers and payers benefit from the implementation of electronic transactions.  Over the coming months, SeBIN members will be providing and sharing information gained from Worker's Compensation events and collaboration with industry experts.

  • 7/31/08 The Insurance Council of Texas (ICT) is hosting an e-Billing briefing by Texas Department of Insurance Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) staff and Texas SeBIN members.  Click here for more details.

HELPFUL LINKS:

THE SeBIN WEBSITE:

This site operates on Wiki software, which has proven to be one of the most effective ways for various individuals and groups to share ideas and information.  The largest encyclopedia in the world, Wikipedia, is operated using the same software.  Additional guidance on how to use this site to your advantage will be forthcoming.

In order to help newcomers become familiar with collaborating over and contributing to a wiki-based site, the administrators of this site have created a mirror site called a "wiki sandbox".  Here, you can familiarize yourself with making additions, deletions, and modifications to the site.

It's easy.  Click here www.sebinsb.pbwiki.com and start experimenting.  In order to edit, you will need to use the password "sandbox"

If you are a member and would like to contribute to the main SeBIN site and have not been provided a password, simply send a request to kbatongbakal@ghnonline.com and it will be provided to you.
